60 min

The Calma facial

One hour, one guest, one room. It suits most skin and is the visit to start with.

The hour is quiet by design. Carlota talks with you at the start, works at a slow pace and tells you what she is doing before she does it. You can ask her to stop or change anything at any point.

What happens, in order

  1. 01

    Step 1: Talk first

Carlota asks about your skin, your routine and anything you'd like left alone, and looks at your skin under the lamp. New guests start with a consultation.

  2. 02

    Step 2: The hour

A cleanse, a gentle exfoliation, extractions where they are needed, a mask and a slow face and shoulder massage. About 60 minutes in all.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Afterward

She writes down what she used and tells you what to do at home, for the next day and for the week.

Before you come, and what to know

  • Consultation first

If you haven't been here before, or you'd like dermaplaning, Carlota begins with a consultation so she knows your skin before she touches it.

  • Ask your doctor first

If you are pregnant, use a prescription skin medicine or have a skin condition a doctor is managing, ask your doctor before booking, and tell Carlota when you book.

  • Results vary

Skin changes with the season, sleep and what you use at home, so results vary from guest to guest and from visit to visit.
